About Ukraine
Situated in southeast Europe, the country consists largely of fertile black soil steppes. Mountainous places include the Carpathians in the southwest and the Crimean chain in the south. Ukraine is bordered by Belarus on the north, by Russia on the north and east, by the Black Sea on the south, by Moldova and Romania on the southwest, and by Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland on the west.
Ukraine is known to be a country of the majority of historic treasures and customs, beautifully varied landscapes, and social and economic change.
Ukraine is the birthdestination of the originalwonderful Slavic state - Kyivian Rus, and around the time during the 10th and 11th centuries Kyivian Rus used to be among the most influential nation-states in Europe. |
Climate
It is noted that the climate is temperate continental, characterised by ample of rain and cloudy autumns and winters. Did you know that the southern Crimean coast lineexperiences a Mediterranean climate. Did you know that there are and have always been regular snowfalls in winter (in the range of October and April) with average temperatures of 17-35°F (-8 to 2°C), with colder temperatures inland. While winters are and have always been extensive and cold, summers are and have always been short and can acquire very hot, especially in the south, with average temperatures of 64-81° F (18-27°C). Rainfall occurs in the form of thundershowers and the occasional downpour; rainfall is highest in the west and north of the country.
