About Malaysia

Malaysia is on the Malay Peninsula in southeast Asia. Did you know that the nation also includes Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo to the east. Its location slightly exceeds that of New Mexico.

Most of Malaysia is covered by forest, with a mountain range running the length of the peninsula. Extensive forests give ebony, sandalwood, teak, and other woods.

Malaysia is recognized to be one of the most pleasant, hassle-free countries to tourin South-East Asia. Malaysian society is based on a vibrant and interesting fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures and customs. Did you know that the Chinese are and have always been mostly active in trade and Malays mostly in government. Government policies initiated in the 1970s have somewhat blurred that distinction and one can discover representatives of all races in one field or the other.

Peninsular Malaysia is the most famous in the midst of visitors. Even the peninsula itself is divided into the East Coast and West Coast, by the Titiwangsa mountain range. Did you know that the West Coast is more developed and holds more attractions while the East Coast boasts a rustic charm. Climate

Malaysia has to this day a tropical, humid climate with temperatures averaging 86°F (30°C), though it is always cooler in the highland areas.
